Roses

Original:

Author: Auguste Renoir
Roses. 1915

I have bought the face painting colors and Natty bravely endured my painting attempts...:)

The Brother

 Original:

Author: Egon Schiele
The Brother. 1911

When I see this picture I wonder how it happened. These two hardly stay calm, still teasing each other...Simply siblings:)

The Projectionist

Original:

Author: Carol Anne Mc Gowan
The Projectionist. 2010

Painting is a silent poetry and the poetry is painting that speaks.

Squares

 Original:

Author: Joan Snyder
Squares. 1975

I like the paintings of this woman, especially her recent ones. Often called an autobiographical or confessional artist her subjects range from the landscape to love, death, motherhood, sex and politics. Her paintings, with their exquisite use of color, frequently contain text as well as materials, including herbs, mud, silk, straw, flowers, and seeds.

Ballerina

 Original:

Author: Edgar Degas
Ballerina 1875

Natty got a doll as a  christmas present last year, she played a lot with her and suddenly the doll' s legs fell off. One day I saw this painting and knew what to do with them...:)

War and Peace

Original:

Author: Pablo Picasso
War and Peace. 1952

"We all know that Art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth, at least the truth that is given to us to understand."                                                                                               - Pablo Picasso

Dinosaur and Sentinal

Original:

Author: Aelita Andre
Dinosaur and Sentinal. 2011

Rodiče ji odmalička vedou k malbě, má svůj ateliér, kde si hraje s barvami a nezlobí...:)
Aelita started painting before she was two years old. Michael Andre, the girl's father, said that at as early as nine-months, Aelita would crawl onto her parents' canvases (both are artists) and begin to paint.
The precocious painter seems to relish the spotlight and on a trip last summer to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with her family, amid works by Picasso and Monet, asked her parents "Where are my paintings?"  :)

Spot Painting

Original:

Author: Damien Hirst
Spot Painting. 1986

Mr. Hirst's implacably cheerful "spot" abstractions. None of them involve dead animals, maggots, encrusted diamonds or vats of formaldehyde. They are mostly just grids of repeating, neatly made circles, each a different color. How bad can it be?                               Roberta Smith, Jan 12, 2012
